Private capital and private company governance · Editable Word document · Free100-Day Systems Roadmap Oversight (Word)
A first-100-days template for PE-backed boards to oversee critical systems, planned changes, controls exposure and go/no-go gates.
Version 1.0 · Last updated
What it is
Systems changes are often central to the value-creation plan in a private equity hold period, and they are where financial controls and reporting are most exposed. This template gives a sponsor-backed board a structured view of the systems roadmap in the first 100 days: what the critical systems are, what will change, where controls and data are at risk, how the board will be kept informed, and what must be true before each major change goes live.
Who it's for
Directors and operating partners on private equity-backed boards, and the CFOs who report to them.
When to use it
Use it in the first 100 days after an acquisition, before approving a major ERP or platform change, and at each go/no-go decision during the hold period.
How to use it
- Ask management to complete sections 1 to 4 before the first full board meeting after closing.
- Agree the reporting cadence, gates and KPIs in sections 5 to 7 at that meeting.
- Revisit the template at day 100 and at each major go/no-go decision.
